Every generation has said the later generation is bad, but stuff like this makes me wonder about TikTok/AI/etc. brain rot.

I’m not going to lie. “I would like to see Democrats stand up to extremists and bullies” had me in the first half.
I see the most parallels between how Limbaugh/conservative-sphere talked about Republicans and how leftists can talk about Democrats.
Maybe ”RINO” type purism demands are common in all political groups though.
It’s unfortunate that My City Was Gone still slaps though.
The original source is here, which is clearer that it became an option on brand-new Mach-Es.
I’m guessing without the option, it’s bare metal. The buildout of the frunk is way less than $500, but also it is non-zero. fordauthority.com/2026/02/2026...
I read the article as the latter. The frunk is an option on brand new Mach-Es.
The top part of the article is written in a strange way, where “Mach-Es lose the frunk.” That’s technically true if only brand new Mach-Es are implied.
Obviously don’t post it, but the renewal or binding letter governs whether you had collision.
Since the hit and run driver was at fault, then uninsured/underinsured could also be available if it was part of your policy contract.
Do uninsured/underinsured for a hit and run if you have the coverage.
As with the Newsom mischaracterization debate, it matters what the truth in fact is and not to rely on falsehoods in some “directionally correct” way.
There aren’t enough homes where people wish to live. Whatever the politics, giving false solutions is not how I want to morally operate.
It seems like that would also be an argument against anti-SLAAP laws as well.
With how difficult sanctions are (especially if a bad person plaintiff is willing to perjure on facts in the complaint), I don’t have a huge amount of trust in the common law with the American rule.
The IRS created a program to deterministically replace its COBOL and pre-COBOL code with Java. The data types and big static classes it created though were nothing like what any Java programmer would actually create.
The method necessary was painstaking separation, documenting, then rewriting.
Some of the capital/GDP increase was due to faster depreciation (ie software instead of factories). to the extent GDP goes to repayment of principal, it’s not really income to capital. More capital intensity is also not, alone, higher standards of living for anyone, in capital owners.
The server case will also have local testing or hosting, with the same issues.
Is it self-serving FUD? Maybe. Some security or config vuln is more likely than malicious code. But it does feel like simply creating an executable is the same as downloading linkinpar.numb.exe on Kazaa.
It depends on the context in which an app is ran. A regular executable on Windows or Linux (and I believe Mac) has the ability to read all the documents on the computer, as well as cookies.
A mobile app or web app is sandboxed, but then the server code needs to be deployed somewhere.
I guess I have a fundamental misapprehension over ever running any non-human-reviewed code.
Such non reviewed code needs, IMO, to either sandboxed for data it can access or sandboxed in its output. For the latter, that means the vibe-code can analyze sensitive data but cannot do web calls.
It’s a very bad system for the legit corner cases while also being theoretically open to fraud. With number of SSNs out there, the system kind of relies on fraudsters not having the ability or the balls to show up in person as someone else, and the ex-post ways to undo things like deeds.
*US, not IS.
ID also gets kind of existential. In practice, the “happy path” of the system is someone has their original birth certificate and the SSN where SSA’s number matches their name. Then there is an unbroken ID photo starting from learner’s permit at 15.
The ID stuff gets to the IS having an immense number of birth, death, and name change authorities (plus immigration for foreign-born citizens).
SAVE falls into a common bad faith tactic of reducing state capacity and using that lack of capacity to punish a downward class.
The FTCA needs to be reformed and the judgments somehow first coming out of some ICE/CBP appropriations instead of the unlimited judgment fund.
Here’s the source. It does not include the real value of employer health insurance, but that does not really make people feel wealthier.
The increase did start 2014, to be kinda fair to Obama. fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LES12...
Something has felt rotten in Denmark on various indicators though in the 21st century. In US statistics, prime-age emp/pop (especially male prime-age emp/pop) and the stagnation of median real wages.
The latter did not show significant growth above 1980 levels until first Trump admin.
I only understand vibecoding (defined as not reading the code output) for both:
1. Developing in a hermetically sealed box.
2. Deployed in a hermetically sealed box.
Otherwise, I don’t really trust a stochastically generated black box with personal data.
This ruse was done by the FBI (may have been the Marshals or ATF) in the Ruby Ridge case.
Man, *martial law.
a recount under the law.
Things move to “lol, you think law matters” for dooming. Which, sure, it’s possible. But the ideas of not certifying easy Dem wins are not far from Trump just declaring no habeas marshal law, and the military going along with it.
the pre-speaker rollcall. If the clerk does the basic statutory duty and Dems have majority certified, then Dem will be speaker and thus seat a majority Dem House.
The certification issues pointed to historically were actually razor thin or had legitimate issues. A regular margin doesn’t get…
It seems like the main link it relies on mixes two different things:
1. The state, for whatever reason, not certifying in time.
2. The chamber of Congress not seating it.
#2 isn’t really the concern in the House for 1/3/27. Unless the clerk does crazy shenanigans, those certified will be in…
Seeing this post come across my feed, I just wanted to say my one weird hobby horse: ERISA health insurance is bizarre to begin with. Self-funded ERISA plans are utterly, off-the-wall nuts. www.villanovalawreview.com/article/3655...
Given the language of the statute, the clerk will truly have to say words have no meaning as Trump wanted Pence to do. There wouldn’t be a colorable argument on any plane of reality the fake certifications are proper documents for the rollcall. www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/...
The fake elector certificates were so bonkers. Whether space lasers changed votes or not doesn’t change the fact that the fake certificates were not signed by the gov. So Pence could not present them.
I feel confident such fake certification will try to be presented to the clerk in Jan 27.
