It's such a fine line and I don't really understand it. Probably best to make it so that people who don't want anything even resembling smut don't see it, and leave smut-seekers high and (heh) dry.

It's possible they are, but at the end of the day I think I'd rather leave smut-seekers feeling disappointed than jumpscare people who don't want a whiff of smut in their day.

I was kinda leaning in to making it seem like the textual version of an R-rated movie scene, actually!

But I'm gonna lean cautious here; I'd rather cater to the sensibilities that just filter out explicit works and leave smut-seekers a note that they'll probably be disappointed.

I don't want people who are looking for smut to be disappointed, but also I don't want people who *don't* want smut to be jumpscared! If I'm going to cater to one group I'd rather be cautious and cater to people who filter out E-rated works because they don't want even a whiff of explicit sex.

When using Microsoft Word or Google Docs, don't just make text bigger and bolder to make it a heading. That will work for sighted users, but screen reader users will miss that and just hear it as normal paragraph text. Use actual heading styles, like level 1 through 6.

Hey Dimilix side of fandom, if you read my omegaverse fic "Surrender": I received a comment that it should be rated explicit. While I do make it clear that sex happened, it's not at all detailed. If I was looking for explicit omegaverse and read "Surrender" I think I'd be disappointed. Thoughts?
