Ah OK, looking at the sleeves on discogs, it seems they left off "Presents Dub From The Roots" from the bottom half of the sleeve.

Taking a leisurely stroll through my vinyl record collection to share a few of my favourite Jamaican tunes and trivia, just like I used to do a few years ago in the House of Reggae podcast... https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/houseofreggae

I don't have Surrounded by the Dreads, but have listened to it online. There were certainly better Tubby LPs released at that time, including as you say "Grass Roots" and also "Dub Master", which again I presume means Dub From The Roots.
Likewise, it's her only LP from the mid 70s that I'm aware of. I wouldn't take all the titles and labels as 100% accurate in these charts. Typos and alternate labels/names are quite common.
Yes, I think that's probably right.
Top 20 Reggae 7" singles chart as published in Black Echoes on 6th March 1976. The singles in this chart are reggae tunes released on UK labels rather than Jamaican imports. You can find this chart and more on the great website www.ukreggaehistory.com
And here is the 7" chart from the same week.
Big Youth remains at No. 1 for the second week, holding off the new entry by Clive Hunt's Lizard at No. 2 with the chilled out Satta I. Max Romeo, Mighty Diamonds and U Roy are the big climbers...

Yea his records were mainly in the early 80s. I have a couple of his singles from that time that I like. Will keep a look out for this LP.
My thoughts too.
I would presume it's Mellow Mood. Maybe some plain sleeve copies turned up?
My favourite album by them! π

The Reggae album chart as published in Black Echoes 50 years ago this week.
It's notable to see that nearly half of the chart are dub LPs and most of the others are roots and DJ albums including U Roy at No. 1. Dread In A Babylon indeed!

Funnily enough, Judge Dread was Buster's answer tune to Derrick Morgan's own 'skit' of Tougher Than Tough...

And finally, Noel 'Scully' Simms was also a master percussionist.
Later in life he lost his sight, but he never lost his feel and love for music, as seen in this mesmerising clip of him playing along to a Sly & Robbie rhythm...

7" of Zoot Simms - Golden Pen on Blue Beat label. Released in 1963. Produced by Prince Buster.
And here's another gospel tune that Noel 'Zoot' Simms and friends turned into a ska scorcher for Prince Buster in 1963. This was also covered by Sylford Walker in the mid-70s...

7" of Zoot Simms - Press Along on Blue Beat label. Released in 1963. Produced by Prince Buster.
Singer and percussionist Noel Simms had many nicknames over the years, including Scully, Zoot Simms and Mr Foundation.
On this great ska 7", he's turns a traditional gospel tune into a praise song for Prince Buster...

And finally, here's Michael Prophet singing Gunman live in Brockwell Park, South London in the summer of 2017 alongside Mafia & Fluxy and Matic Horns.
Very sadly Michael died in December that year aged just 60 years old...

12" of Michael Prophet - Gunman on Greensleeves label. Released in 1981. Backed by Roots Radics. Recorded at Channel One. Mixed at King Tubby's by Scientist. Produced by Henry 'Junjo' Lawes.
Yesterday was also the heavenly birthday of Michael Prophet who was born in 1957.
This mighty 12", written from personal experience, was his biggest hit and remains a landmark recording of the Roots Radics era...
