Care about marginalized people at least as much as you do inanimate objects challenge. Difficulty level: impossible.

X post by Amy Nixon (@texasrunnerDFW ), featuring a verification badge. The post reads, "The USA is weird now. If you're a person under 30, you probably think it's normal but that's because you don't know. Trust me. It's weird."
America hasnβt felt this upside down since I was a child in an internment camp.
Unreal. The US government is dumping Asian and African families and children in random countries that they have no connection to. Dumping, not "deporting." Deportation implies the return of a person to their home country. This is treating people like toxic waste.

DEI is a corporate term, CRT is a legal framework, Black Lives Matter was a political slogan, Staying woke was a colloquialism. Itβs not individual terms at fault here, people arenβt being confused into racism.
The kind of racism Trump & his ilk espouse is old-fashioned, even as itβs dressed up in modern DEI discourse.
They get close to saying it outright but havenβt yetβbut make no mistake, they sincerely believe white people are biologically & intellectually superior to nonwhite people.

UnitedHealthcare has been accused of using algorithms to deny treatments and refusing coverage of nursing care to stroke patients. UnitedHealthcare and its parent company now face a class-action lawsuit over its use of the algorithm.
A lot of people think everything will work out if we just play by the rules but donβt seem to recognize that rules only matter when everyone agrees to follow them and, well, that isnβt our present reality.

"The game plan is simple. Selectively target scholars who study race, who will be primarily scholars of color. Launch an anonymous accusation. Then report on this as newsworthy in right wing media, hoping the mainstream media will pick it up...Institutions donβt have to voluntarily play along."
Excited to finally share this paper, nearly 5 years in the making! In it, me and co-authors share our thoughts on how (and to what extent) signals from the body map onto affective feelings. Writing this definitely brought forth more questions than answers! authors.elsevier.com/c/1ieTJ4sIRv...
omg ahh!! was not responding to you! lol responding to the absurdity of the job ad!
Figure 1: Foraging trial diagram. On each trial participants chose to harvest the tree they were at (down arrow key) or travel to a new tree (right arrow key), during the travel they completed an effortful task, after which they arrived at a new patch with a replenished supply of apples. The tree is a green circle and rectangular brown trunk. The apples are red and lined up in a row on the bottom of the screen. There is a warrior avatar with a shield, helmet, and sword who jumps to harvest the apples.
