23.6% waxing crescent Moon in a blue sky.
Good afternoon Blueskyers! The late afternoon Moon is a welcome sight.

My first moon shot in 2026.
Waxing gibbous 95.3%
The Moon this evening, at 36% illuminated. Bit out of practice! Nice to have a bit of time to take and process.
A wedge-shaped section of the Moon at its southern horn crowded with well defined craters. The bright circular limb is at the bottom while the ragged terminator moves diagonally to the upper right.
A sizeable chunk of this evening's waxing crescent #Moon 38% illuminated. 50 x 20 ms Ha 35 nm in Celestron 8" at f/10.
Meanwhile on #Jupiter: Europa shadow transit is about to end. Europa itself is still transiting but not visible against the planet background at this resolution / quality.
Day-11.

High clouds, but slightly better seeing. Both groups are already facing away. Making it a bit tricky to compare the size to Earth.

Good Sunday morning. A misty blue sky to greet us Blueskyers in London and an 80% waxing gibbous Moon! #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.com @photohour.bsky.social
Waning crescent 27.8% on Thursday at 5.05AM (UTC+7).

Friday's Sun - 3 October 2025. ๐ญ
A telescopic image of the Moon in the waxing crescent phase showing many impact craters and several smooth, dark lunar 'seas'.
Tonight's 32% illuminated waxing crescent Moon. ๐ญ
The 27.2% waxing crescent and Scorpius.
Two images of a small bright ISS against black background. The left image is from earlier in the pass and shows only faint edge-on solar panels. The right image is the view about 50 seconds later and shows clearly defined panels in the classic "tie fighter" look. In both views the solar panel appear subtly colored with a brownish hue.
Two views of tonight's #ISS medium altitude pass over The Hague. This pass geometry allows for less detail than a high overhead pass but provides more varying perspectives. Each 30 x 0.3 ms RGB in Celestron 8" at f/10.
Pale yellow/brownish planetary disk barred by the thin bright line of the rings that are still seen nearly edge-on. Titan is visible to the left as a dot above the ring plane.
View of tonight's #Saturn. 1000 x 25 ms RGB in Celestron 8" + ADC + 2.5x powermate.

A yellow meteor passing through the stars of lower Cygnus and between Lyra and Delphinus. The meteor has several bursts along its path. Settings: 10s exp, 16mm fl, f/2.0, ISO-800.
A nice #meteor I caught last night, 14 August. Looks like a random, sporadic one. It lines up with the antihelion - a collective source of weakly active showers opposite the Sun's position in the sky. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

Photomosaic of Miranda from Voyager 2 on January 24, 1986
Miranda, moon of Uranus. This is one of those images that is fun to just explore. And since we are looking down on the south pole, there is a whole hemisphere of Miranda we have yet to see.

6 August 2025. Nice sunspots today. ๐ญ
Tonight's 93.5% waxing gibbous Moon. As it approaches full in a few days, this will be the last chance till Monday to capture some nice crater relief! #astronomy #astrophotography @stormhour.com @photohour.bsky.social
