I'm the same.For listening at home I can only really listen to 'off centre ' big band.I have albums by Westbrook and Mike Gibbs also Chris McGregor which I really enjoy.Strangley I do like straight ahead big band jazz in a live setting.
I'm not usually a big band jazz fan, preferring quartets and quintets, but this has always been a favourite.
