I have been sitting on an idea around the card Carnage and I just can’t get myself in the mood to make a video because there is too much real violence right now to make a hokey video about cartoon violence

I’ve made a cube that is centered around Random Encounter and cycling creatures. Each player drafts 2 monored legends and an instant (like a signature spell) At the end of the turn if you killed a creature you get a random artifact (mostly equipment).
We got some real good additions recently

I watched the Yuriko player reveal the Commandeer and then decided to try to cast Minsc and Boo. You won’t believe what happened next….

This is the play. You hold priority after you exile troll (or any big creatire) so you can bring it back with haste that same combat and then Madame Null doubles its power for a lethal swing.
Yeah. It’s not amazing, but it’s not terrible.
I’ve been trying different Madame Null brews and the big thing I’ve noticed is she wants creatures who come back. A creature you can play early and then replay or blink back to be bigger. So you’re converting a small chip creature into a threat.

And then we’ve started getting just our combos in the CZ. And I don’t mean W6 Crop Rot. I mean an A+B combo where all of A is in the CZ and you just need to get B on board. There’s a couple of these that can’t whiff unlike Tibalt +Jeska Will
In Oathbreaker, this card is a real menace.
This is the best card in the set for EDH in my mind.
This big thing I’ve seen is signature spells are all becoming Final Smashes. A spell you play that just wins the game or comes really close. It started with Akroma’s Will be we’ve seen more and more of these finishing moves recently.
Is there some kind of “state of the format” that ever happens with Oathbreaker? Its still the primary multiplayer format I play and I’m sure I’m in the top 5% of games played and I’ve observed some things in the last couple years and would love to discuss with other folks @magikids.bsky.social
