Unpopular opinion: it is in fact not good if prisoners aren’t safe in prison and can be harmed or killed by other prisoners.

Digital illustration of a map, in a playful and colorful style.

I finally finished this map illustration and with that I want to say IF YOU NEED A MAP FOR YOUR PROJECT PLEASE HMU! I loved working on it, I want more map work in 2026!

It’s for a modern romance book series but I can do other styles except maybe sci-fi stuff.

I am reliably better with up-close weapons than with ranged weapons. Just absolutely no go at aiming from a distance

I tried all the weapons but I have so far only beaten father Hades with the fists of fury (twice). I told Orpheus about Eurydice and he said not to mention him to her. Still waiting for Achilles and Patroclus to mention one another

I dunno maybe my mum died last year and that made everything worse

Maybe the last thing I knew she understood was when I told her Jack Draper had won Indian Wells and she raised her eyebrows in response

Maybe all the mother's day advertising just makes me really sad

YOU GUYS!!! Hidden in this image is an intermediate technology--this is a STATIONARY SEMI-MECHANICAL haybind!! Its job was to compress the hay into a long, rectangular column. Note the women on either side hand-tying off bales, and one loading the hopper. These women were trail-blazers!

Because the comps are mixed sex (where grammars are single sex) and offer some non-traditional subjects and more clubs and societies. This was driven by immigration from Eastern Europe - smart kids with limited English didn't pass the 11+ and drove up standards at the sec mods

In the past kids who didn't pass the 11+ (ie most of them) went to "secondary modern" schools which were usually not good and had no expectations for the kids. In my area those schools are now basically comprehensives and are much better, some kids who pass 11+ choose not to go to the grammars

I live in an area with grammar schools and went to one. You get in by passing an exam called 11+ which you take in year 6. They are divisive because they label kids as "smart" or "dumb" at an early age. Private primaries and parents who pay tutors get better results

Casting call! Looking for a woman voice actor, 50+ who is versatile and a vocal chameleon / can play many different bit parts in an audio comedy.

We’re recording in London on 13th & 14th April. This is a paid opportunity. Actor does not need to be autistic!

Ellyse Perry has now played the most Tests by any active women's cricketer (15).

Perry has featured in every Test match Australia women have played since she made her international debut in 2007.

In the same time, Australia men have played 195 Test matches.

I remember visiting a friend in Tennesee and her roommate's kid who was about 6 asked me why I didn't talk normally (bc I'm English) and couldn't conceive that I wasn't able to do a Tennesee accent
