That bathtub scene. No matter how many times I've seen it, always incredibly tense.

Love her. Great on recent TRAITORS season too.
BEING ERICA on Peacock
Wife has discovered and begun watching a 2000-era Canadian show called BEING ERICA. It's basically QUANTUM LEAP if Sam only traveled back into his own life and tried to address minor setbacks and mishaps.
32,000 individual people ignored the idiotic voice that tells them "what I do by myself doesn't matter" and this happened.
Stop! Listening! To! That! Voice!
(I know, too niche, too tiny, but I'll never pass up an opportunity to reference BROADCAST NEWS.)
The next time we see Kristi Noem.
And Sheri Moon Zombie was there too, right?
Seeing it next week, excited!
Blues Brothers. One of them is dead and the other is old and I'm pretty sure I can take him.
My kingdom for the first reporter who asks one of these gibbering idiots what "imminent" means.
I come to this with no Green Lantern awareness/baggage beyond the obvious -- he's a green guy with a magic ring, right? -- but this cast makes it a must-watch for me. Kyle Chandler! Aaron Pierre! Kelly Macdonald! Nathan Fillion! Garett Dillahunt! Jason Ritter! All caught up in a murder mystery?!
I'm past that one too, John!
Happy birthday, Brian!

Why no, I'm not above trying to pimp myself via DM to a physical media label I would love to work with...
Did I include Peter Hyams' OUTLAND on my list of the best westerns of the 1980s? You're darn tootin I did.
SHATTERED poster
#NowReWatching First rewatch since opening weekend, thanks to some recent chatter about it on here...
All the Dems right now, probably.
PROBABLY.
Still haven't seen Adam MacDonald's latest (THIS IS NOT A TEST), but I did revisit his feature debut, the intense animal attack/survival thriller, BACKCOUNTRY. bloody-disgusting.com/editorials/3...
Some definite highlights including that opening one-shot transition from 1888 to 1988, and I'm in for the downer ending, but yeah, parts better than the whole.
Big fan of underdogs pushed into a corner to the point of tragedy only to see things grow wildly out of control. Think the likes of LEGEND OF BILLIE JEAN, OVER THE EDGE, and even FIRST BLOOD.
1988's WAR PARTY can't touch those, but it still delivers some compelling action/drama beats and scenery.

New month, new watch thread.

Some great writing from Todd Farmer. Heartbreaking, then inspirational, a call for empathy in a world that doesn't always seem capable of it. And now I'm excited to check out his novels, too!
I'm generally okay with most things associated with my age, but the one that stings is realizing that all of my heroes -- writers, filmmakers, actors, etc, the creatives who helped shape my tastes in books and movies in the 70s, 80s, and 90s -- are now at the age where they're dropping like flies.
He does wear a shirt that's partially unbuttoned, and that's plenty sexy.
Confirmed this German release does indeed have Eng subs, user reviews seem mostly positive, and I will be ordering it. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
It's women's history month. You are now contractually obligated to hire me and my sisters. I don't make the rules.
Ha, I have some that are good to great! But their HK titles too rarely include the subs...
Donnie Yen's FLASHPOINT in 4K! Someone else buy it and tell me if it has English subs!
