(3/3) Context: the first line is a version of well-known lines from the historical poem “Paul Revere’s Ride” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, which actually read “One if by land, two if by sea.” Which referred to the number of lanterns used to indicate which route British troops would take at the start of the American Revolution. Old North Church is the same church used to hang the lanterns, and Paul Revere’s ride actually did happen, though not exactly as Longfellow told it.

I do believe the lantern has been lit.

And that’s just due to all the information I’m constantly getting. When people feel strong emotions and it comes off in their tone, body language, whatever it might be, I empathize to a degree where I often feel tired after.

Glad to see the push against RFK. But remember that autism is an umbrella! The way we experience empathy is different than a broad characterization. Definitely look into the links listed in the comments. I often get overwhelmed in situations where people are emotional. Regardless of which emotion!
