Australia/Queensland, massive gut punch honestly. Filling out one of those things and supplying everything is so much work, and I thought we'd made a solid pitch.

That's so cooool.
Spend months applying to a government games grant, get no response at all.
Full pitch, deck, marketing, demo, the lot, didn't even get a rejection email.

Great way to waste time we couldn't afford, to not even get feedback.
We deserved at least a 'no thanks'.

only self published b4, from what i gather tho its like:
- Polished Demo
- Deck/Market Analysis/Plan/Other Investment
- Marketing Plan and Expectations of them
- Legal stuff like copyright/trademarks etc..

And then maybe you don't get completely screwed over?

i feel like there should be a lot more time spent remixing proven stuff, it's safer and easier to achieve and gives insight to where innovation could happen.
Like Stardew took harvest but looser/deeper systems and mixed collectathon. its led to a tonne of mods/hybrids and innovation as a result.

new season/arc. I heard the writers are fed up and the finale is yet another cliffhanger that doesn't move the plot forward at all.

will be a bunch of needless deaths/firings/studios set afire to try and maintain interest, and more of 'the same old' as ratings continue to plummet.

How are small indies meant to publish and meet new EU regs without doxxing themselves?
Apple doesnt let you distinguish between business address and legal point of contact for public, demanding both be my personal street address and not a PO Box.

Before Apple takes developers money they should provide a platform and service that's actually worth the cost instead of being the literal WORST.

Paying for the apple developer program is painful, their back end and systems are broken shit, and their support is non-existent.

Just put in a ticket, get told 24hrs and buckle in for weeks.

So worth $150, 'think different' my ass. Legit worst platform to dev for, fuck apple.

I feel like there is that kind of fear whenever a big thing like this happens, but what I often see and hope to see more is people diversifying their diet and just not investing in THESE types of games.

I sure wish Cairn had options outside default rage bait mode/turning everything off.

Exploration/learning are severely punished by default, and seems super artificial/tacked on.

Would love a middle ground instead only being able to disable entirely.

Constantly lament when games would ask where to save. Remember when that was standard?
Then we made it 'easier' by making it a giant mess and assuming the user is an idiot.

Dev pov: people asking for support on how to find/move their saves is maybe the biggest request.

honestly making games is super hard on its own, and making content cost dev time spesh if you are indie workin on bootstrap and sweat.
always be postin. and repostin imo.
if you get anything but love from other creatives/devs they might just be jerks/and can always mute. 😄

🌲 - It is tough for horses to maneuver though dense forest!

🏃 - I added a little speed adjustment when for all unit's is running though rough terrain such as includes tiles such as mountains and water.

haven't really done this, but am gonna start. Saw other creatives discuss and one young sticker artist I follow humbled me into not being as precious.
They repost constantly, and ya know what I love it, cos their work is awes.
Diff time zones, diff peeps, diff marketing budgets etc..

the assets are implemented in unity, also made some fence; that tiling texture was a massive pain in the ass but worth it. now for a decoration pass on the city!

I take it you then line the AI up just right so that the first footfall can sync, then use root motion?

example of adding detail using shells/decals.
this is instead of unique textures/materials, because all our assets share instanced material libraries.

this means it can work with our customisation system, and is super performant.
