A four-panel figure showing scanning electron micrographs of Pseudomonas biofilm on the surface of pig lung tissue. Aggregates of bacteria sit on top of a network of collagen fibrils, with some bacterial cells penetrating the collagen mesh.
Paper out! We used RNAseq to track changes in P. aeruginosa gene expression over 7 days of #biofilm infection in our #CysticFibrosis lung model. www.microbiologyresearch.org/content/jour... #MicroSky (1/n)

Despite increasing use of observational data in public health, researchers are still hesitant to use strong causal language (for fear of overpromising).
New paper and comment in @bmj.com sets out new guidance on appropriate use/misuse of causal language

Enjoyed learning the process of setting up a cluster of tiny PCs for parallel computing. A note to myself on installing Ubuntu, passwordless SSH, automating package installation across nodes, distributing #rstats simulations, and comparing CV5 vs CV10 performance. Fun project!

If you don't want Claude to load all this great #RStats content for each session, try asking Claude Code to deconstruct this content into distinct skills. On first pass it did not add required YAML headers, so needed second pass with those instructions. Here are the skills I ended up with.

Testing Super Learner with TMLE showed some interesting patterns ๐ค XGBoost + random forest only hit ~54% coverage, but tuned xgboost + GLM reached ~90%. Seems like pairing flexible learners with stable (even misspecified) models helps? Need to explore this more with different setups ๐

Not sure if I understand. You can specify that in claude.md that you want it to use R for certain tasks. I usually create a new folder for each run. Place all the appropriate data files in it, use Claude.md as instruction if thereโs a workflow or use prompt as instruction as you go.
