Two of them did me great for 25 years. Got the second because the first saved me from a 38 ton truck driving into me on a motorway. Earned its place in Valhalla!

I feel seen. Been Ferrari over 5 decades now! The elixir of hope.
A family member is deaf because of contracting measles as a child. This was a few years prior to vaccine rollout. I’d find it hard to be civil to those pushing anti vax quantum flapdoddle…
A view of one of the “merchant castles” in the centre of Utrecht, looking across a canal bridge, with people sitting on a public bench in the foreground
Looking out from the seat of a rented kayak, as I paddled around the canals in the centre of Utrecht. People enjoying a sunny spring afternoon sitting outside restaurants and bars that line the wide towpaths on the canal side.
I really enjoyed my visit last year. No car streets are great, as was leisurely kayaking along the canal network throughout the town.
So sleek in fact that
Some may wonder if you have
Been fed recently
You are just so sleek
Observers will mistake you
For a large Greyhound

On my 4th one, been a convert for 20+ years. Easier to be precise and much more comfortable than a standard one.

Now this is the type of Book Store Review we really need, thank you Abbey
You’ll love it. I know I did!
As ever, thank you for patient education. I, for one, appreciate the clear advice of an expert who has not only “written the book[s]” on the subject but also has extensive “real world” experience. Cheers
But you have to have one, an artful splodge is best type of splodge! BTW, it is now looking likely it’ll rain soon in Brussels so seems like neither of us will stay dry.
And too think I went all the way to Brussels to find Not Rain. I should have had faith like you Abbey! 😀
Ah, the perennial conundrum of having all the ingredients for food but no actual food! 😀 Know it well. Glad you found the answer
One of the steam trains at the Utrecht Railway museum
A model at the Utrecht Railway Museum of a 1960’s high speed train concept driven by a propeller at the back
I enjoyed the Utrecht Railway museum - big trains and fascinating propeller driven model trains too
No Abbey, it means you have the right to expect human to make a batch of 100% Good for Abbey biscuits as well, as a restorative after fetch. 😀
I wonder if the historical privatisation roots of fire service, where the first crew to arrive got the job and were paid led to lots of small stations?
Photo of a 3 wheeler car from the ‘70s known as the Bond Bug. Wedge shaped two seater with single central wheel at the front. Roof included but no need for doors! Resplendent in “this is the ‘70s” bright orange
The UK version - the Bond Bug. Hey, 4 wheels is extravagance…
Emerson was my first F1 hero, after I was lucky enough to see the 1972 Race of Champions at Brands Hatch as a kid. His switch made me a McLaren fan from ‘74 on.
Thank you. There is also an excellent podcast on this from The Kitchen Sisters (also included in Ep 354 of 99% Invisible)

A transcript of an exchange between F1 driver Charles Lelerc and his race engineer during the 2025 Australian Grand Prix (run in heavy rain): Leclerc: Is there a leakage? Engineer: A leakage of what? L: I have the seat full of water! Like, full of water! E: Must be the water L: Let’s add that to words of wisdom
I wonder if he has a F1 race engineer as a relative…

I’m a fan of both your silent movie and frog content. Please continue with your educational, entertaining and wonderfully idiosyncratic posts.
Black & White photo of scene from the Film Bringing Up Baby. Cary Grant in police jail cell holding on to the bars and slightly looking up at Katharine Hepburn. She had back to bars, looking over her right shoulder at him while holding a cigarette in her right hand. She’s acting out as a “Gangster’s Moll” spinning a wild story to the local police sheriff, successfully getting Grant released from jail (with the help of “Baby”, a leopard that Hepburn’s explorer brother has sent to her as a gift). Grant & Hepburn at the comic brilliant best. Who knew the importance of an Intercostal Clavicle! 😀
Oh yes indeed, especially this Katharine Hepburn…
As my wife will testify, l’m a true believer at Church of Sausage 😀
Well done, perfect response
Do anything at all
Regardless of the weather
A sausage would help
