Right, but what Reinsdorf fails to realize is how much of a net benefit having one of your guys calling games nationally. It elevates the profile of the team in the process and that's why he's with the Tigers now and not the White Sox.

How many times have you seen a high schooler go into a 3-time MVP's kitchen and make them hit into a double play? Well, at least once.
Not to say DCFC & Scripps couldn't work something out, but I doubt it. I will say FDSN would've been a weird fit for them just because of the bandwidth of the other teams and they would've been guaranteed some tape delayed matches which isn't terribly great.
That information tracks as I've heard very little in the local tv scene on them. 50, their last TV home, is off the table due to their CW affiliation and the only decent option would've been 20, another old home of theirs, and it's been quiet at Broadcast House.
The good scoop here is that it was looking like DCFC was heading to FanDuel Sports Detroit as their new local TV home before all *that* went down. As it stands now, Detroit City will not have linear local broadcasts in 2026.
UPDATE: The USL Players Association posted its full statement on Instagram regarding the league's email to players.
