Thank you Paul, I appreciate it! π

Thank you! π
1 Lord Commissar and 5 Commissars for my Imperial Guard army. Their uniforms are white with golden trims, and black greatcoats with red trims. The Lord Commissar wears a red cape.
I'm ready to call my commissars done. A coat of varnish tomorrow, and off with them to the troops.

I agree with what the others are saying: This looks really good already. Clean paintjob, subtle highlights, and even a bit of weathering⦠perfect tabletop quality imho. Keep at it!
I knew I should have invested in FW Krieg back in the day π . All jokes aside, your minis look amazing. Great work!
Great work, they look awesome!
Thank you so much Paul!
Maybe I will... I'll put it on the list of things I at some point want to add to my armies.
That's a good looking Taurox btw!
I like this effect, looks awesome!
Good question. Either 6x6 or making it into a half-track.
Here's the kicker: The longer I look at the model, the less I'm sure if I want to make this change at all. Which is the complete opposite of my initial reaction to this kit. It's almost like an acquired taste. π
Guinea Pig-riding Pixie Scout, from Bad Squiddo Games. The pixie is wearing golden armor with red accents, and the guinea pig is painted in all black. They are standing on a base, surrounded by flowers and grass tufts.
The Guinea Pig-riding Pixie Scout alongside Thea, Amazon Champion, the mini they come with. Thea is wearing golden armor with a purple tunic. I've added a sword still in its sheath, a shield, and a necklace to the mini. The guinea pig is magnetized, so it can be put on Thea's base as well.
This is probably the tiniest mini I've painted so far (and seeing it up this close makes me consider getting a magnifying glass for painting, it does look good on the table though π).

Congrats! And what a great looking army it is.
A Taurox Prime, its entire frame lifted up by some "heavy-duty" chains, separating it from its tracks. In front of it a Tempestor Prime who orders two busy mechanics to stop what they are doing and get his vehicle operable again. In the background is a page from Jon Hodgson's World War Ruins backdrop book, showing some ruins in the distance.
"You! I need my ride, like, yesterday!"
(AKA I still need to decide if I want to have my Taurox on tracks or change them for wheels.)
This looks amazing! Great idea!
They look fierce! Great work, and good luck!
Congrats to 1k! Beautiful mini too!
Cool conversion! π
A photo showing several WIP Imperial Guard miniatures. The regular soldiers are wearing grey uniforms with an urban camo scheme, the veterans are wearing black uniforms, and the Kasrkin/stormtroopers are wearing white armor. The Commissars are wearing white uniforms and black greatcoats.
It's #WIPWednesday, time for an infantry update:
Heavy Weapons are almost done, they'll fit nicely to the army's standard.
HQ squads & Commissars are getting there, Kasrkin & Veterans need more work.

Nice work, they look spook-tastic. I like their striped jerseys.
Well I've now painted and based every space marine I own. Feels good to see the whole army on parade. FOR THE KHAN!

That's not only an amazing looking army, but quite the impressive size too. Congrats on finishing it!
This is really good, way better than my first mini looked.
Looks smooth. Nice work!
A behind the scenes look of the above photo, showing that there are actually three Leman Russ battle tanks, the third one also equipped with three heavy bolters. They are on a cloth gaming mat, visible behind them is a part of a page from the World War Ruins backdrop book.
Behind the scenes: I did try to squeeze 3 tanks into the above shot, but in the end I liked the one photo the most where the 3rd tank was completely hidden out of sight. Looked more clean that way.
Maybe they drive in single file to hide their numbers?
Okay, okay. I'm done with the references now.
Two visible Leman Russ battle tanks, one equipped with a lascannon, the other with three heavy bolters. They are painted in an urban grey camo scheme, a white "042" in a red diamond shape indicating that they belong to the 42nd Tank Regiment. Visible in the background a page from Jon Hodgson's World War Ruins backdrop book, which shows a devastated land only with a few pillars still standing.
A platoon of the 42nd Tank Regiment on patrol. Their chief weapon is surprise. Surprise & tanks. Tanks & surprise.
The surprise in this image: There are three tanks. Don't believe me?

π One day I might.
Nice work, these look great! Love the colors on the skirt, they really add to the mini.
1 Lord Commissar, and 5 Commissars for my Imperial Guard army, posed to point their weapons directly at the camera. Their uniforms are white with golden accents and purple scarfs, their great coats are black. The Lord Commissar wears a red cape.
A photo showing 43 WIP Imperial Guard infantry, initially built during the 4th and 5th Edition of Warhammer 40k. A command squad with meltaguns for an eventual third platoon. 10 metal Kasrkin, three of which painted in a very light grey, almost white armor. Theyβre called stormtroopers after all. A wounded guardsman. The Sly Marbo mini from 8th Edition. A heavy weapons squad with heavy bolters. 10 hardened veterans with plasma guns and shotguns in their tacticool black uniforms, and with bluish-grey weapons. A heavy weapons squad with mortars (the one recent addition to this army. 2 tank crew miniatures. 2 guardsmen with flamers for an existing platoon command squad.
That's a nice box. The new Maelstrom releases are so temptingβ¦
β¦weren't it for the Commissars on my table right now. They "suggest" that I should stop having heretic thoughts and finish painting them and the rest of their fellow guardsmen instead.
Finished models in February, which are all Imperial Guard vehicles for Warhammer 40k. In total there are 3 Leman Russ tanks, 2 Chimera APC, 1 Valkyrie aircraft, 1 Sentinel scout walker, and 1 Manticore self-propelled rocket artillery. All are painted in a grey urban camo scheme. The middle Russ and the Valkyrie are those vehicles which only needed decals, the right Russ only needed highlights and decals. All the other vehicles required more work to be done.
Paintslam 2026 hobby log. After 36 models in January, most of which were miniatures for the game "Dead Man's Hand", I painted six Imperial Guard vehicles in February. (I didn't count those that only needed decals.)
After a really productive January I fell a bit behind in February. Not that much finished stuff: 6 vehicles + 2 more which only needed decals.
I did fill out my #PaintSlam hobby log though.
