I think that to a degree the mass of MBAs controlling industries, not just gaming, is really a core cause. While you may not maximize business efficiency with someone from within an industry running the business, that maximization is by nature short term, exploitative, and causes damage over time.
And they're going to have medicines for themselves that won't be available to us, the people they want to die to "improve" the stock of the USA.
I know it's halfway through the month, but I think I'm going to try to put together a game for the Blood Worm Moon TTRPG Jam on @itch.io. I'm thinking to try to do a game where you're a crew of space pirates who don't know they're undead, need to find out they're undead, then figure out how to die.

We had issues where the insurance company would refuse to change a gender marker because the medical record didn't match, and then when we got the doctor's office to change it, the insurance would mandate changing it back to provide coverage because the gender marker didn't match.
