As I told someone earlier - there is magic here, if you look for it. And you certainly feel it. A little more of myself is left here every time my plane takes off home. Something I sure most people who were here can attest to being the truth.

This year the love I have seen, and the care we have shown each other would put any lesser community into a coma. Being a furry isn't about the art or the fursuits or merch. It's about the community we have built together.

This convention runs on the love this staff has for the community and more importantly for each other. We might argue, fight, and disagree but it doesn't change how much we care.

As we round out this year, a year that has been one of change and growth both personally and professionally, I am so thankful to have been a part of #VF2026 and to the whole community for making it what it was.

It's always bittersweet coming to the end of any VancouFur but #VF2026 especially will go down as one of the great ones. Despite not being a local - this con feels like home. First con I attended and the first con I ever staffed.

The weird thing about being in a healthy relationship is that parts of yourself that you put on the shelf for better days start to come back. I think I am going to start working on some creative projects in the coming months.... Stay tuned.

Ever had a day where everything you say and do seems wrong in some way? I am not a fan. Need to go to bed and sleep it off.

So my point is this - if you see it get LOUD please. If we can be the community that back ours advocates but checking on them and supporting them. But it also means DO NOT LET THEM DROWN IN A SEA OF OVERWHELMING ONLINE HATRED PLEASE #yyc #trans #translives

Why does it take the potential loss of life for us to go “Damn maybe things are worse than we thought…” Do we need to lose more trans lives before we care ???

So my question is there is this outpouring of support - and rightly so but where was that before we got here. Where was this concern and solidarity for one of our advocates BEFORE we arrived here. I sent emails, contacted work colleagues to check on her … and nothing.

But the reason I can do that - is because of people like the individual of today. Who endured what I can only describe as fucking vitriol for months …. Even to the point of threatening suicide weeks prior. It was so blatant even in my little bubble I saw it as being off….

Online hate towards transgender people is getting out of hand. It’s unprecedented recently. For those of you who know me know the least interesting thing about me is that I am trans. And for the most part I am unbothered and able to thrive in my quiet part of the world.

I woke up this morning to find a post from a transgender activist who lives in my city stating she had taken her own life. There appears to be repute on this and I truly hope there is. But lets take a second a deep dive something….
