Whoever left it there is doing their best to create ease of access to your work. Why make someone pay for it? Why make them open up the door to a free little library or a donation box? Leave it out in the open for people to find and enjoy. That’s how I choose to see it.

I was referencing the last 15+ years of wasted remakes and reboots, and suggesting others chill before flying off the handle because there will be another version soon enough.
Oh, definitely. There are lots of examples of great remakes. Body Snatchers is one that understood the opportunity to recontextualize the concept and do something fresh and exciting.
Reboots and remakes are not a problem for me. I think most of them are wasted opportunities, but I don’t get all bent outta shape anymore. Instead, I wait for the next one to see if it’s more my style. If not, no biggie. I urge others to adopt this philosophy.
