I think it's pointless going after Trump (apart from maybe some direct psychological warfare). No self awareness and will never reflect. Go after the executive, get conservative support, put real pressure on FOX news (both economic and moral). They need to be more afraid of their citizens than DJT.

Having been there, it would be way way way less than $20/hr for the hours you put in. Yes, if you are fortunate, you will get supervisor and postdoc mentoring. Juxtapose this against having a job with basic degree entry requirements, with a good salary and free on the job mentoring and training.

Not quite true. I had an emergency appendectomy last week. Privately insured, out of pocket $1095 so far, with imaging bill yet to be settled. Still, streets ahead oh the situation in the US.

Remember PD's "You dirty lefties are too easy"? Lets not get played any more by his odious racist distractions and instead constantly and relentlessly call him out on his lack of vision, hopelessly flawed policies and empty rhetoric.

What utter rubbish! The voice is a beautifully crafted document, come to after years of careful iteration and with multi-partisan political support.

Science could solve some of the world’s biggest problems. Why aren’t governments using it? A Nature global survey finds that most specialists are unhappy with systems to provide science advice to policymakers.

Surely using something like sand batteries could be a temporary throttling solution. Although they don't have great electrical regen efficiency, they are cheap, scalable and definitely better than just switching off renewables.

So, taking a dive into the stats on the DCCEEW website, virtually all the decline in emissions between 2006 and 2020-21 was due to LULUCF sector changes. That seems to have flatlined in the last 3 years (ie: the low hanging fruit has been picked). Time to get serious in the 7 other sectors!
