👉 At the #CDMS Workshop I will give a lightning talk on interoperability and composability in #federated #DataSystems, showing how XDB (our work from #ICDE2023) enables federated query processing and XDBC enables efficient cross-system #DataTransfer.
👉 At the #AIDB Workshop Bene will present our work on ADAPT, a data-driven optimizer that automatically tunes transfer parameters to changing environments. With Benedikt Didrich, Vasilis Gkolemis, @matthiasboehm7.bsky.social, and Volker Markl.

We argue that existing data transfer tools fall short in today's diverse environments. We introduce XDBC, a framework for fast and scalable data transfer across heterogeneous systems and infrastructures, whether you're working with #PostgreSQL, #Pandas, #ApacheSpark, or anything in between.

I recently joined Jack Waudby on the @disseminate as part of the "DuckDB in Research Podcast" series to talk about SheetReader and our DuckDB community extension.
