Here’s Gully Beach - not a landing spot but pivotal. The wreck is the lighter that Gen. Maude was supposed to escape the peninsula on. After the guns, we paid our respects to all of the Frenchmen who fell during the #Gallipoli campaign. There are 12,000 in the ossuaries alone.🇫🇷 @peterhart.bsky.social @istoriatravel.bsky.social @seaspitfires.com @danielmcandrew.bsky.social
