Travel is always fun but also exposes you to some -interesting- humans. Met a real life Karen yesterday. She decided to center herself in a tour group of 8, next thing you know she is shunned by everyone including the driver. FAFO.

Another friend has crossed the veil. Someone my age, a peer.
Aging is not for the weak.
Never doubt the strength of your older friends. They carry so much every day, just existing.
The show must go on.
22/500 miles on the year, halfway through month 1. I like being on track.
Speaking of priorities, I revisited them with a peer coach yesterday. Having oneβs blind spots pointed out is uncomfortable but good. The list is now: self-care, job, coaching. They reflected back to me that I said βwithout self care none of this happensβ and then said βso itβs #3?β. β€οΈ
Adulting is locking yourself down to 3 top priorities. Allowing opportunities to pass by sucks, but sticking the landing is worth it. Iβm foregoing a lot of fun for these priorities, no performing, limited outings with friends, etc - AND itβs already paying dividends.
Hello Boxing Day. Somehow this year more than ever Iβm glad to be done with social obligations until NYE. Iβm tired. (I know I did all the good work this year. Not mad about it, just want me-time.)
If youβre lucky, when youβre younger - starting out in life as an adult, you have older friends who look out for you.
Time passes. You grow up, and lose touch with your Elder Siblings.
They get older too. Then they pass over.
Thanks for watching out for me, Mike. Iβll miss you.
Well, here we go. What could possibly go wrong?
