To me, who has read most of what he’s written, some of the exaggerated claims made against him – like having active animosity towards trans people and wanting to mass detransition them – just come across as ridiculous and such hyperbole weakens, not strengthens, legitimate criticism of Singal.
This is quite a lot of mental gymnastics to go through for no obvious reason. Minor attraction does exist independently of the desire to rape. Most child rapists aren’t MAPs, and most MAPs never commit rape. I am not aware of any CSA prevention professionals who would disagree with this.
Could have just said “undermine trans healthcare” (which is defensible), rather than “forcibly detransition all trans people” (which you’ve pulled out of your ass).

Just because I won’t jump on board with demonizing Singal and his associates as child abusers? Singal had done a lot of harm. He has mainstreamed a narrative that has empowered TERFs and GCs. Trans children are suffering more as a direct result of his journalism. But that doesn’t make him pro abuse.

Fact-check: false. Prostasia no longer exists, Singal was not a supporter but a journalist who investigated claims it was pro-pedophilia and correctly found that it wasn’t, and the supposed ties to BlueSky are just that the head of T&S followed a colleague who had worked there 5 full years earlier.
It has more to do with them having nothing in common. One was a pro-offending organization run by pedophiles. The other, a CSA prevention organization run by a succession of public health experts that received grants from prevention funders, panels at major conferences, and university collaborations

Fact-check: partly true. He had not been Executive Director of Prostasia since 2021, and apart from raising money in that capacity for university research into therapeutic applications of sex dolls for prevention of child sexual abuse, could not fairly be called a “proponent”.
Because the attacks against him and the organization were so clearly misinformed and bad faith. Did they ever condone or promote abuse? No, exactly the opposite. Were they condemned by experts and funders in the CSA prevention field? No, their work attracted grants, conference sessions and plaudits.

Neither Noah nor Prostasia did anything wrong; their work was lauded by peers, funders, clinicians and researchers. But Noah is right to block people for trying to throw dirt around just because he was brave enough to take a nuanced approach to difficult issues that are impossible to discuss online.
This is nonsense. Safer Society Foundation is a CSA prevention organization led by professionals. The word pedophile is misused by the public to mean sex offender. There are good reasons why some professionals prefer to avoid it when talking about those who haven’t offended and don’t intend to.

Look at how many people are completely obsessed with lurid details of the Epstein crimes. This account’s focus is far less weird than that: it’s simply devoted towards educating people about evidence-based approaches towards CSA prevention.
