Watching "House of Ninjas" and the tone shifts keep throwing me off. It's absurd, then deadly serious, then funny, back to serious, absurd, etc. Maybe I'm reading the absurdness as comedy where it's not meant to be funny
"ten generations of pokemon" and "fifty seasons of survivor" are both sentences designed to make me feel way older than i actually am

I genuinely cannot believe the degree to which we are pissing away this generational breakthrough, even given the fuckmuppets who are involved www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...
Insulated mugs are great for keeping drinks hot and not burning your hands. However they suck for keeping my hands warm. Can I get a "mostly" insulated mug?
Alright brain, can we keep the Limerance in check please? I know it's new people but... chill.

So, do we think Neurodivergent people are susceptible to unhealthy paranormal relationships more/less/or the same as Neurotypicals
Yesterday was "Can I turn my car stereo up loud enough to draw out my emotions". Today is "how many depressing metal ballads can I listen to".
I don't believe nice guys finish last... boring guys do. However, it's certainly easy to try and reach for that comfort when you're in pain
A 3.5 hour phone call with a friend that started at 5am (not having stayed up all night). That was fantastic (reasons for the call weren't great, but the discussion was and just being able to talk to someone like that)
This is a quote from the article summing up both studies in Technology Review: "A multi-university team of researchers has found that chatting with a politically biased AI model was more effective than political advertisements at nudging both Democrats and Republicans to support presidential candidates of the opposing party. The chatbots swayed opinions by citing facts and evidence, but they were not always accurateβin fact, the researchers found, the most persuasive models said the most untrue things."
Two independent studies found that AI chatbots were better at persuading voters than political ads. The most persuasive bots also lied the most. This is something that humans working in psyops have known for decades. AI is psyops at scale. www.technologyreview.com/2025/12/04/1...
Replaying Wing Commander I & II will surely fix my problems...
JFC I was stuck in an ADHD loop of 5 tasks that I kept interrupting with the next task. I've taken my meds... ugh.
Work better be busy today... I really need the distraction
Limerance is a hell of a drug
Sometimes I think about my actions in TT RPG terms (I played GURPS in my youth). I wonder what the skill penalty when I try to grab something from right pants pocket with my left hand because my right hand is full.
Waiting for my emotions to catch to up to my intellect is bullshit. I think this is the fault of Limerance.
So the γΌγ is on the left?
Display of breakfast cereal, called Demogorgon Crunch, in Safeway grocery store.
Reminds of my the media tie-in cereals of my youth like Gremlins and E.T. the cereal. No, I didn't purchase it (not a fan of "savory" extradimensional flavored cereals).
Perfect Autumn morning today: Windy, slightly wet from overnight rain, leaves swirling around, a little overcast, with filtered sunlight (hour past sunrise)
Coco's was a favorite when I was stationed in Okinawa 20 years ago. Just had it again during my recent visit to L.A. (I promise I'll try others during my trip to Japan next year, I swear)
Pet peeve: Asking clarifying questions to those above me and being told to read between the lines.
I kind of remember hearing something about things that happen when you assume.

In non-political opinions: I prefer small bean natto to big (at least with rice).
It looks like all of the Dem senators that voted to reopen the government received money from PACs that are part of the airline lobby. I guess we can only hope that the House rejects the bill (and be furious that these traitors won't up for election for a while).
Eating Thai food and watching a Japanese drama... I feel a little better
My trip to L.A. has taught me two things about myself regarding personal travel:
1. I need to more thoroughly research things I want to do in the area
2. Limit my time there to only allow for those things (including a day to just wander)
