How they thought it would be a good idea to fix crowdsourced information by reversing the impact of multiple eyes on the info (in essence “building a haystack around the needle”) is beyond me.

“Low paid workers in the global south” is such a weird way to focus our attention here (and I’m trying to be polite.) It’s actually the Open Knowledge Association, a nonprofit dedicated to, get this, improve wikipedia… +

A variant of this observation is that there is a set of columnists whose main differentiator from a random noise generator is their level of access to the MP&S (male, pale, and stale) figure
Concurring (fwiw) with your misgivings about the *use of the number.* It’s a suspect metric, like using polls to drive policy. Polls follow (good) policy. Reading follows (good) writing.
That’s how to make better policy and better articles. “Directionality” is backwards.

3. The hall could have been packed and it would have been a concert. What wonderful playing.
2. If you can handle it, what a gift to have a piano master give you their best assessment of how you can get your interpretation to the next level, or what is impeding your playing from “reaching the music”
Went to a piano master class today with the family, a class for pianists who are in the extension program at a university with a music program.
Here are some takeaways:
