That sounds really good. In our Curriculum we have to do blocks of everything and although its nice for me as each course is done rapidly, i fear the student learning outcome suffers.

I actually would love to do something like this but I need to squeeze everything in three days within 2-3weeks, so there is always too little time to read, reflect, write and also grade. But I will keep it in mind as I love the idea of reading a book vs a couple papers.

Just struggling with balanching readinh assignments and marking student papers for this term: how many students do you have in such a course? I am intrigued by the idea to read a book but I feel my classes are too large (ca 20ish students)...

Na ja wir könnten jetzt die Abgrenzung Migräne/Spannungskopfschmerz diskutieren, das ist soweit ich weiß fließend.

Aber ja: es geht hier um etwas das mir hilft dass mein Kopfschmerz nicht eskaliert bzw Beschwerden lindert bis die Medikamente (in Abstimmung mit einer Neurologin ausgewählt) wirken.

Spannungskopfschmerzen über die ganze Stirn. Wetter- und Stressverstärkt.
Mir hilft das Ding bis die Tabletten wirken und zur Entspannung zwischendurch wenn es nicht ganz schlimm ist, dann bin ich wieder für einige Zeit fit genug um was zu tun.

Uje. Mir hilft es bis die Tabletten wirken wenn ich sie früh genug aufsetze. Dann kann ich das schlimmste gut abfangen. Oder bei leichten Schmerzen zum Entspannen zwischendurch, speziell wenn ich den ganzen Tag am PC arbeiten muss...

Oh god what did the autocorrect do? It realised after two words that I was trying to type in English apparently - perfect example of AI capabilities (or whatever dark magic is behind the auto correct)

I am living in the fairy tale world where a proper human has checked the AI abstract before submitting it, at least for the final version of the manuscript.

But seriously now: as many people I use AI for specific well specified tasks. Like "make this crap sentence understandable" or can you suggest a layout for a graphical abstract (as I am total rubbish at that) - but I would not trust AI to generate useful in depht intel complex scientific topics...

I find this trend of AI (pre-)review good on the one hand, as I hope it gets rid of some of the bias towards certain groups of authors.
On the other hand its just another instance to discuss with as it might come up with arguments that it made up and are not related to the paper at all 😜
