No, let's not do this today or ever.
You clearly need to learn some history to understand voter suppression, gerrymandering, and the ways in which the GOP lie, cheat, and steal to have power.

Oh no! I hope you're not in too much pain.
If you don't want to have conversations with your kids you're not ready for then don't have kids. Yes, I understand this statement is meant to imply the children are the ones that not ready. If my refusing to read it that way bothers you, imagine how frustrating talking to a child will be for you.
This International Women's Day, please remember that trans women are women. Full stop. No qualifiers.
but also people who are nonbinary, intersex, and are gender diverse in other ways. It also delves into research around the role of hormones in athletics, and other things that impact fairness in sports. (2/2)
Me peeking out from behind the book "Let Us Play"
I highly recommend reading "Let Us Play: Winning the Battle for Gender Diverse Athletes" by Harrison Browne, a trans former pro hockey player, and his sister Rachel Browne, a journalist. It was a really interesting and nuanced look at not just trans athletes ... (1/2)
"No, I don't watch cool things!" Real adults watch whatever they want and aren't afraid of fun.
Spent my afternoon camped on the couch reading a romance novel with music playing in the background and a window open so I can hear the birds & my windchime. I could not be happier with my choice.
Amazing night of D&D with friends tonight. π₯°

This Inevitable Ruin, #7 of Dungeon Crawler Carl!
So many movies would be improved with Gritty!
Just read this: "I wish the Indy sequels were grounded and gritty like 'Raiders'."
"Raiders" ended with GHOSTS
A brown penguin chick of some kind. It looks very much like a man in a suit. It is bedraggled and miserable
Made it to Friday but at what cost
Two bum fanatics posing for a selfie in front of the best bum in art history (that of Michelangelo's David)

Remember when shows would go off the air and theyβd just come up with new shows?
Smelled gas outside my condo and had to call the fire department! What a day!
How about ... we make some new good series instead?
Plus you look like a dork when you wear them.
I had to take a cat to the vet for a fat lip. She probably tried to eat a bug or a spider that bit or stung her and made her lip swell up, she she needed steroids. And she & her brother have their normal vet visit in a week and a half.
OK, now I have to take a cat to the vet because she has a fat lip. Is today over yet? Is this week over yet? I just want to lay on the couch and read my silly little books!
(I'm glad I work remotely in a flexible job so I can take the cat to the vet!)
The department for my city (population: just under 14,000 people) has an armored vehicle! It's ridiculous.
This would not be out of place at our D&D table.
The insurance issues have been resolved for now! I am still reeling and very confused ... but I'll take it!
.... OK? Is stew particularly manly or ...?
Jesse Singal: βI donβt understand why all these experts with degrees keep disagreeing with me. So demoralizing. What could the explanation be??β
Jealous! But we might get some later this week.
I saw a couple of birds on my new birdfeeder (on my office window) so that's neat! Gotta take the wins where I can get 'em. They weren't exciting birds (a house finch and a sparrow of some kind) but birdies found the food! I also saw lots of turkey vultures yesterday!
