A buzzard called Butey, checking out the bird food situation and graciously permitting a quick photo.
Last year, Butey the Buzzard visited regularly for a little โcarrionโ. Then (over 200 photos later) Spring sprang, his mate returned, and scolded him for such behaviour.
Now, he occasionally perches at a distance and glances wistfully at the wall.

A perfect post highlighting the
flaw of AI. If Artificial I wonโt do the housework and leave Real I in peace to be creative, then it can go shove itself in said upcycled toaster and turn it to
max minutes toasting.

The Beacon without a view.
A misty, moisty walk if ever there was one. Myths and legends may well have been lurking amongst the rocks, but The Edge of the World kept them at bay, for which we were grateful.
Parts of thirteen counties can be seen from this summit. So they say.
It was here we met the Edge of the World, a drizzle-sodden creature who was disinclined to talk to us, but, rather moodily, permitted us a glance at the View-that-Wasnโt.

A delicious book, a must-read.
I have visited/ lived in /near many of the locations, so the powerful descriptions of land/sea/hill/moor scapes have both triggered memories and urges to revisit, or visit for the first time.
The nomadic lifestyle of the author gave me much comfort and belief in my own wanderings.
What an incredible book.
Please note: the library book escaped the clutches of this โtake over the worldโ spider plant.

Thank you for a grand read.
Itโs taken me ages to get through as I had to have CLEAR TIMES to be able to enjoy every word/ photo/ woodcut. A book to escape into, and luxuriate in. What a treat!

1. US & Isreal begin strikes with no clear legal basis - UK stays out of it.
2. Initial strikes fail to bring swift end and Iran strikes back.
3. Those retaliatory strikes start to target civilians (including UK ones) and UK military/bases. ๐งต 1/4

Admittedly I first saw skinny dinosaur leaping upwards, but was seeing it the wrong way round. Bit gaga this morning ๐ฅด

A hugely important message from the UK PM.
It is vital everyone listens to it in full to understand the situation in the Middle East tonight.
As things escalate, there are 200,000 British citizens in the region who are at risk.

This buzzard demonstrates wingspan and landing gear in the hope of winning best in show. Alas, his neighbour and rival, the raven, took the coveted prize, for the second year running.
Landing gear extended, coming in for a smooth landing.
