This video was pretty rad, short and sweet, great title, input from game devs, check it out:

Expedition 33 spoilers:
Act 1 end: bummer
Act 2 end: biggest bummer ever
Gustav should not only have gone through with shooting himself at the start of the game, he shoulda taken the rest of the expedition with him. I've learned my lesson, I'm gonna quit before we make things somehow even worse
Welcoming new users to blue sky is not a "return".
Only took ten years
That's more specifically like "welcome back", not appropriate for a new home or site.
Also fuck Reddit. Posts get removed unless you jump through 40 hoops specific to each subreddit.
No flair! Name of the content creator needs to be in the title! No, not like that, formatted in [Square Brackets]! Thanks but now removed cause we don't allow let's plays (it's a video essay...)
Mason Miller is back! That first zombie scared me too... But honestly I never enjoyed the rest of the game and have never played another in the series. It was cool to live vicariously and be a Resi fan by proxy watching this highly personal look at the series.
Things are just getting worse as I have built the characters wrong or something
A psychologist is expensive, but if you join a pen & paper RPG you can act out all your insecurities in character to get free therapy from players and the DM
Is there? I still want the narrative comparisons like "You and 7% of players chose not to fist bump" but not the "you suck at this game" ones.
Dispatch is rad but I could've done without being told my performance was "better than 20% of players" or in other words, worse than about 80% of players.
Ignorance is bliss.
I love the idea of Interactive Fiction (I've even written some) but often struggle to find ones I really like.
Found one!
Pulls you in slow but steady, varied choices - but all reasonable choices (that's harder it sounds), and nice short snackable length. Give it a shot!

Watching a youtube video, decent concept with animated illustrations that really support its points, the exact thing I appreciate much more than face-talks-to-the-camera.
Then I realized they drew sketches and animated them with AI.
Oh no. This was not slop, it was good. Thanks, I hate it.
Valve said they've said they're not working on a new VR game.
I'll buy a Steam Frame as soon as they're available but what am I gonna play on it? I've already played everything.
Enjoying Alien Earth. It's refreshing to see a leading cast of mostly 20 somethings.
Back in the 80s some young actors got leading roles... but then they jusy stopped doing that and we got 45 years of Tom Cruise and his friends.
Errant Signal and Super Bunnyhop both released a video on the same day?
It's like 2015 all over again.
Enjoy it folks, these stars probably ain't aligning ever again.
And if you want to learn more about the differences between current AI language / art models and actual machine intelligence, start here:

Recently been arguing about AI. Everyone thinks AI sucks now but one day they'll be human-like like data from Star Trek.
They won't. They'll be a completely alien intelligence nothing like us.
Here's a game in which you'll become an AI and start to understand:

Thing requires an hour minimum of processing on facebook's servers powered by prehistoric decomposed organic material burnt and pumped into the atmosphere just so you can show your apartment to two VR randos and then never use it again
So facebook's new big thing is you can scan your room in high detail so you can visit it in VR.
What would I do with it? Invite people over for intangible tea? Look at my new sofa, just don't sit on it?
VR is an escape for a bit, an extension of video games. A fun way to spend some time at home.
These AR / AI glasses are an extension of the smartphone. A way to occupy our time, constantly, to have our eyes and ears amused and advertised to while we ignore the friends & family at our cafe table.
Seven times a day i see a cool looking youtube video but before i click i see the 40+ min duration and nope out
aint mr wendal got time for that
I always found it easier to just make lots of save games and scroll through them to find the right bits instead of going through hours of video.
Planes aren't real, they don't look like they should stay up. Whole catching a flight thing's just a hack to hide a loading screen
Holy moly I somehy had no idea Under the Milky Way was an Australian song!
Unpopular opinion.. I already have a box that anyone can make and sell games for (or even an OS or peripherals).
A Switch, a PC, a PlayStation ... How many copies of functionally the same box should we be expected to buy? How much plastic & metal waste needs to exist so they can make profits?
I played a Switch 2 for an hour. It seems nice but even as a train commuter I can't imagine ever wanting a portable gaming device. I game at home.
Nintendo games are cool but I shouldn't need an extra box with a 2nd CPU, GPU, and screen to play them.
Stellar Blade is just Baywatch all over again.
Years ago Stellaris used to be the role-player's / new player friendly grand strategy game.
Then they removed the characters on worlds, and introduced happiness etc as abstracted numbers. It became just like every other grand strategy game, a complicated mess of spreadsheets. I still mourn
The people posting shit about Bella not looking like Ellie etc can go suck a lemon. You want everything just like the game? Fine. Watch this instead and shut up:
