Hey artists... How do you guys color backgrounds? Every time I try to color a background for a "normal" look (not the monochromatic ones I do every now and then) it just feels... wrong. I know it is a vague question, but how do you pick the right colors?

That's the only reason he has pants, because I wanted him to have paws shoes and it would have been silly otherwise lol

This is my first OC with pants, truly a bold new frontier for my art!
Also paw shoes because they're hot, fight me

And yeah from what I gathered coffee roast go from 1 to 10, 10 being basically burnt. I do think that if there's a coffee I like, it's around 1, but I can't seem to find any -

Oh yeah of course, pure dark coffee is a huge no lol. But even with milk, cream or sugar it's still bitter and unpleasant for me -

And yeah it's obviously ok to not like it ! I just want to, perhaps because of how diverse it can be and the fun combination you can make ?

I think the biggest heartbreak of my life is that no matter what I try, I just can't seem to like coffee. I WANT to love it because I like the smell and coffee desserts, but the drink itself? Huuuuge no. I'm basically a fraud with a misleading username snif -

I am super excited about him! I feel like some of my OC are just bland, designs with nothing behind.

Testing logotypes! Softn is a mega-corp with many businesses, like 'Stacks by Softn' (burgers) and 'Slices by Softn' (pizza).

O’treats is the delivery service Softn made to handle their various food brands. The OC is an O'treats delivery guy/feeder :3c

The general idea is a brand that owns a bunch of fast-food places with a dedicated delivery app. They have all these policies designed to make people fatter, and the OC uses them to target and feed people way beyond reason, and way beyond what the company even intended

I’m working on some ideas for him and he’s probably gonna be the OC that finally adds some lore crumbs to my characters... like figuring out his job and branding so he and the company can show up in future art. Look at me finally doing world-building after all this time lol

Actually that's a good question! I think him being chubby/fat would make sense since he's always around junk food. But I like me some contrast so not too fat :3.
And he's DEFINITELY keeping tabs on all his targets eheh

I wanna make a new OC... The idea is a fast food delivery guy who doubles as a feeder, bringing extra portions to his regular targets on purpose. He slowly builds their trust until they’re comfortable letting him inside... and that's when the real feeding starts >w>
