Diagnosed with ME/CFS, he later developed Long COVID at age 8 after 3 COVID infections, suffers with severe fatigue, and sleep and cognitive issues.

Please don’t say ‘learn to live with Covid’ to folks who are vulnerable or have long covid. We have no clean air or good vaccine access or antivirals. There is no moving on, there is just further death and disability. Also everyone is at risk from long Covid. We must learn to live in a safer way.

An Uber driver asked a passenger why they were wearing a mask. The passenger explained COVID transmission is high and reinfection could worsen their Long COVID. The driver said he hadn’t heard of this and advised “building immunity” and positivity, showing widespread misunderstanding of Long COVID.

Long COVID affects millions of children. The largest pediatric trial so far launches this year. There’s still a ways to go before doctors and scientists fully understand pediatric long COVID, but three upcoming clinical trials are on the horizon.
