I am once again asking you to think of an indie bookstore while Barnes and Noble has their preorder sale. I have ~50 books out this year 25% off through February 7th.
We also have no customers in store because of the snow.

This is brilliant. A declassified World War II guide for citizen saboteurs on how to fight fascism is going viral

Same!
Until recently tho I had a good bookstagram thing going and got so many of my recommendations from there. Now that I am off meta and trying to carve that out that vibe here (not successfully yet) I may be more open to blurbs being a deciding factor? The synopsis is still numero uno for me though.
As a reader I would prefer the synopsis vs a blurb. Occasionally I will see a blurb from an author that I love that confirms a purchase decision I’ve already made but mostly they are just noisy.
Two things I like about getting older: female hispanic street food vendors tend to call me “madre” and some kids tend to think of me as an elder freak because of my tattoos.
It’s a unique little gem! I particularly like this edition. The colors, font, graphic, and scales.
I left all meta products recently and I miss IG alot. My bookstagram and irl friends. I hope it moves forward and is adopted.
Multi-tasking by eating my feelings and supporting a trans girl scout at the same time.
Thanks @burningbooks.bsky.social - can’t wait to read and share.
“I think that, sooner or later, things like you always begin to repeat themselves, because things like you know only a few simple tricks. After a while, someone always sees through them. I think that is all that saves us ever.”
Just finished - I wanted this edition when I was younger and treated myself. High fantasy is still not my genre but sweet backstory from King on why he wrote it. Quote for our current political climate ⬇️
Saw a post here saying that physical books are harder to ban/censor. While I feel any medium
(physical, e, audio) are legit reading - maybe it’s a valid point?
