Embedded journalism based out of our Costco locations
I didn't expect this to pop off. I think there is a lot more discussion about what mistreatment by men towards women looks like, and how many women would rather be single than deal with men who won't put in effort, be nice, or demonstrate basic respect and interest.
Okay, not the point of your post but: Wow, I'm excited for Max's crossover moment. This is gonna be a big win for the <<inserts antonym for DOOMSCROLL>> movement! HUGE.
THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM Kay Ryan The room is almost all elephant. Almost none of it isn't. Pretty much solid elephant. So there's no room to talk about it.

a new genre of photo in the last year is federal agents working for ICE pointing guns directly at photographers
40 years ago we’d have congressional hearings falsely accusing metal bands of putting backwards messages in their songs that told kids to kill themselves & now we have a planet-killing chatbot that’s all like “bet you won’t commit suicide chickenshit bitch” & the government is like here’s $5 billion
it's really weird to have developed super specialized knowledge of the art industry and art crime for three years and then just suddenly stop developing it or reporting on it due to a layoff; but this happens to so many reporters and then I see discussions about declining public trust in the media

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

Around 250 media outlets from 50 countries, plus journalists and press freedom orgs, are uniting today to demand that Israel abides by international laws to protect journalists as civilians, and that Israel allows foreign journalists into Gaza.
