I’ve been in a black and white period for a while. Only purchasing clothes in black and white. I’m making a slight change. Blue and white will be my new foundation colors. With other colors introduced in my knitwear. #AmYisraelChai

I’ve started a scarf version of my Opal stole. This one uses Oink pigments for the MC and some leftover Koigu Kpppm I had in my stash. #knitting

I was at a chess tournament over the weekend. Lots of #knitting. Alternated between a new design and my Halyard sweater.

Thank you so much!
My Opal stole is ready for testing! 🧶I’m looking for about 10 test knitters of varying skill levels. It’s much easier than it looks, and it’s a great project for scrap yarn or minis. Runs to May 16. Sign up: tinyurl.com/opalstole #testerswanted
Opal shawl on the blocking mats. I used orange as my neutral. This makes a great project for scrap yarn or 10g mini skeins. Test starting soon. #knitdesign

I did the same thing. Tightening up before I close up the hat, bout I needed that LONG period of straight knitting.
Those are fabulous! He’s going to love his secretly bright socks.
My knitting student made this! I helped her a little bit, but she knit the whole thing by herself. A lot of my job is hand-holding, translating knitting patterns so they are really easy to follow, and teaching the occasional new technique. Proof that you are never too old to try new things.
I figured it out. I was gripping my needles super tightly. Probably due to stress. I changed my grip, and it seems to be better. Probably need to watch out for that for the next 4 years or so…
I cast on a worsted-weight #musselburgh hat while doing an online training this week. The yarn is some leftover Wool of the Andes from #knitpicks. Knitting helps me focus.
Any knitters ever have this happen to their finger before? My ring finger has the strangest bruise…didn’t do anything to it as far as I can tell.
Bobble Hat got teen approval today. That’s right. He took it. It’s a rare day that he will wear one of my knits. Hoping I got this one right. #knitdesign

I would really like to buy a tufting gun. Then I could literally paint with yarn in addition to figuratively doing it through #knitting.
A few years ago, I was making these out of ball bands from skeins I knit up. Should I go back to it? Does anyone even use bookmarks anymore? #bookmark

Well, Winston doesn't seem unhappy at the end. That's something, right? I guess have something more uplifting to recommend when he is done?
This is so terrifying. DH is a cyber expert and we have been nervous for years about using our real address and having images of our kid saved in school databases. Sadly, the concern was not unfounded.

Hi there! I’m deb. This is my first day here. I write knitting patterns, and I am working on release after a 2 year hiatus while I went to business school. I’m planning on starting a podcast about how b-school has changed my approach to this crafty endeavor. I hope you will join me for the ride. 🧶
