Printer continues to go "brrrrrr" filling out French support lists with trio of AMC Schneider P16 armoured cars in 20mm.
Hoping the camouflage pattern is easier to do?!?!

Is that a smoke barrage or a stormy weather front rolling in from the frozen east?
These look superb!
Great write up and lovely table too
Well if you get to tour the area please post lots of photos here and let me know! Would be nice to see more photos of the actual canal which i understand at the time wasnt very canal-like and more of a fitch with a few weeds in it.
It has some driving guides around the area too, with the inter-web you can even do them on Google!
I have plate size envy!

If you're coming, ask your mates!
Yes I did in my casual research, it is an amazing resource for the northern part of the line
Try Chain of Command, same scale, same period, better rules IMHO
Fascinating reading of the defence of the Ypres-Comines canal line at the end of May 1940, desperate fighting and many heroic last stands.
Might make for an interesting Pint Size Campaign?

I think a trio of R35s was too much armour for our limited AT defences to deal with, but our opponents use of a CoC to end the turn and rout off a JL that trashed our force morale.Great game though
It all seems ok for the Germans holding the farmhouse. Suddenly a bombardment and French tanks start to move in! π«£

Looks really good
Did you consider the bathmat solution to S&H forests?
Searched high and low on the interweb, no examples of close range use in early war (outside of pioneer uses), but given the chances of it actually working I would suspect they would be posthumous accounts if they had been used successfully.
That was the conclusion I got to too. They were used in WW1 and clearly in 1942 onwards so no real reason for them not to be used in 1940 scenarios too. They were definitely used by Pioneers in 1940 as there is an real example of their us eon bunkers but use on tanks, well they could have...
Is the new Chain of CommandΒ² National Characteristic of "Panzerknacker" applicable for 1940 Blitzkrieg games?

Beautiful
I have some early war carrier to print and paint, looking forward to them after seeing this
I would go 6mm for cost and easy storage
or 15mm for compatibility with loads of other rules sets
or 10mm coz it looks cool, sort of the 20mm to 28mm effect
or something else?
I don't think I have helped...
Yup, tiling roofs has to be the most soul destroying part of terrain building. I have to do it with wine on hand!
Of course you are correct, I am sure a few would have died but I wanted to keep the process pretty simple, well as simple as it can be anyway.
The tyranny of beige! Very nice though.
Close combat or assaulting enemy positions is extremely deadly in Chain of CommandΒ², let's follow Cpt. Mainwaring as he eventually succeeds in defeating the dastardly Germans.
A nerdy, statistical approach to close combat and what you need to win.
