Every book mark represents a moment I became genuinely excited about an idea - a thing I stumbled across, the result of enjoying the process of research. Learning about cool things I wouldn't even know to search for online.
I'm very fortunate that I've been able to access secondhand bookshops etc (nod to Amnesty Bookshop, Brighton - one of the best!)
And these books have made research a genuine thrill. I'm convinced that the enthusiasm you have at the research stage will be palpable in the final game.
Absolutely! If you don't enjoy research, perhaps try *a different approach to the research*. Find what excites you.
Flea markets, charity shops etc. Have yielded the best research materials for my game. Access is a challenge for some. But if you are able, step away from the screen for ideas.
The wrapped should include in fractions of a penny how much the artists earned from all the streams.
My pals, who prev made CorpoNation, have uploaded a demo of their new thing. I've had a play of it, and it's really cool - I'm excited to see where it goes from here
Hereβs my Spotify Wrapped π΅β¨
Ooh this looks very cool yeah! Reminds me a little of Waves from way back - which was utterly utterly superb.

Weβre going to Gamayo!
And whatβs even better is weβre showing a demo of A Line Held Tight. If youβre going and you recognise us please come say hi! This will be our first time showing a game publicly in a very long time, and weβll be excited and nervous in varying measures.
See you there!
Rough.
I've been working with Geometry Nodes in Blender to make a system for authoring patchwork meadows for my game The Wings of Sycamore

i donβt exactly blame devs for signing bad deals with publishers. in a lot of cases i imagine they feel itβs the only way their game will ever get made and they probably right
i often see people say βyou donβt need a publisherβ etc as if most developers donβt understand that. but games do require labour and labour requires payment
So our game is about remote control human beings #IndieGameDev

Illustration of a bus stop near a road, a wide pavement, a giant shadow of a whale is looming over that same bus stop.
Thrilled to share the illustration I created for my friend's play, "Kill the Dinosaur", currently being performed in London!
Get ready to hear me rant about start up culture bleeding into indie dev, and why we should be making our dream games! π
This French language channel did a very lovely playthrough video of my game 'The Collage Atlas'.
It was really heartening to see it really connect with someone. youtu.be/I8X6Xn6_hak?...

We've been working on our game's story recently. And in the process have created a very normal, 100% not weird, timeline!

Currently busy doing huge amounts of landscaping and world design for The Wings of Sycamore.
There's something weirdly deflating about working flat-out and then committing to repo and seeing the file has grown by...only 200kb
Pretty horrifying Resident Evil trailer: trainers on the bed.
It's happened, I've started naming files for my game "_final". That's surely gotta do something, right??
