UZH: PhD position β Drought Tolerance of European beech
We invite applications for a 4-year PhD position working on drought tolerance of European beech using a variety of methodological approaches from remote sensing to genomics and metabolomics.
π³Interested in using genomics, metabolomics and/or remote sensing to study the drought tolerance of a majestic tree species? Apply for the PhD position in my group! Deadline: 8 December 2025. π³ @spatialgenetics.bsky.social jobs.uzh.ch/job-vacancie...

A new small beech biodiversity experiment is starting today @Irchel :-)
190 4-year old beech saplings growing in two contrasting genetic diversity levels.
Although it was very muddy and snowy at times, we are happy to finally have the little trees in the ground.
