Thinking about this again today, as Fist Of The North Star's first movie hits the big 40. Up there with Predator and Robocop for media I was far too young to be seeing but which had a resounding influence on me that would only be fully appreciated much later. Even now it still inspires wonder in me.
Lifeman, the everyday hero, is hassled by some piece of shite cop who insults his body and reckons he'd be best served by joining the military. Lifeman instinctively considers this cop his arch-nemesis.
The piece of shite cop now openly threatens Lifeman with arrest for things he has not done and may never do. Lifeman was just enjoying a nice ice cream in the street before this wanker turned up.
Even Lifeman, the most polite and upstanding of all superheroes, instinctively recognises ACAB.
