IMO, posting a controversial/disputed take & then turning off replies is worth a block. I'll end up blocking accounts that are followed by lots of people I respect, but I just can't abide it. this is accurate to my experience. it's a question of how big the pool of people is making roughly the same number of people who are scolds feel louder.
Much of Trump's first term presidency was not a disaster partly because he did not run into big external crises until Covid came along. His second term is a disaster because he is actively creating those crises.

President Trump has just launched another illegal attack on Iran after he claimed the attack in June 'obliterated' Iran’s nuclear program. He has not gotten authorization from Congress to go to war. That power belongs to Congress, not the President. Americans do not want war in the Middle East.
Remember: Donald Trump created this crisis. He walked away from the Iran nuclear deal that was working, promising a "better deal." He didn't deliver. He escalated, abandoned real diplomacy, and has now led us into a conflict that puts us all at risk.
