#bonsai repotting season has started for me here in #Austria: Some trees started opening their buds and showing some green, which means they are ready for repotting. Did most of the current repots to improve the #nebari, not becaus the trees were pot-bound...

That & also it eliminates the last bit of lawn we have on our section apart from the berm in front of the house...yay. everything else is covered in trees, garden, bonsai benches or decking..
Mower only used once every 6 to 8 weeks. Petrol, in the can is more used as reserve to get to the station 😁

10 yr old son expressed over a few months interest in having input on some garden design around the house so I got this area sorted with some edges an levels for him to do what he likes.

Seems keen on low growing ferns & tufts of flowering plants like small hebe, armeria which all sounds good πŸ‡³πŸ‡ΏπŸŒ±

Was loading the macrocarpa bonsai development forest into the car for a workshop tomorrow, and the sunset lighting was too good to miss.

The two front trees still have their ridiculously tall sacrifice leaders on. Will keep those on until spring.

Just envision that a Government came to power and cancelled a whole raft of essential programmes which would reduce the country's dependence on fossil fuels, only for there to be a once in a century oil crisis.

Another super-rarity, the hihi or stitchbird. These birds struggle to survive without substantial support in the form of food supplementation and nest boxes, probably because of habitat differences between the forests they once inhabited and the predator-free offshore islands where they now hang on.
