like a fool, too naive to think he would ever be loved. veritas feels guilty, and feels even worse by staying by his side looking at him, but he has no other choice than to stay there.
aventurine wishes he never touched that curio, so he wouldn't have to go through this pain.
"so, you don't love me?" aventurine asks, but ratio doesn't reply.
and even if aventurine demands an answer, he never gets it. vulnerability strikes him and spends the rest of his day in bed, crying alone with his angel watching over him. aven is uncomfortable and feels +
as he's aware of the sensation of solitude aventurine carries. aven insists it's not that; he, for once in his life, shares his feelings aloud. he's vulnerable, and he feels completely defeated when ratio tells him angels can't fall in love with humans or they will be punished.
but having nothing more than his "friendship" leaves a bitter taste in his mouth and a cold feeling in his heart.
when he finds the courage to share his feelings and confess, there is no other thing than rejection. veritas says he may not mistake his feelings towards him, +
aventurine falls in love with veritas, he admires his knowledge and the way he finds time to pursue his own interests even when having to take care of him. he adores the company, and he can't help but find the angel extremely attractive.
he knows he will always be there, +
he was never alone. sometimes he's embarrassed by the lack of privacy, but veritas explains that he has seen [everything] of him so there's nothing to be ashamed of. getting used to it is hard, but manageable.
the problem is, that wonderful company soon gets mixed with smt else.
aventurine still holds a certain distaste, but understands.
as time passes by, aven gets used to ratio's presence, to his company and to his voice. he ignores him in public as veritas asked, but loves to be at home by his side. he doesn't feel alone anymore, as he realizes +
ratio explains he couldn't protect anyone other than him. and during [that] period, he had to fight against other kinds of powerful forces to defend him, and he deeply apologizes for not being able to care for him enough, saying it's something he blames himself about every day.
he reveals he came to existence with aventurine's own, and aventurine wonders if his luck is really luck or if it's the angel's doing. he one day complains to ratio for not protecting his family, and for letting him experience the horrors he had to pass through.
he looks at the curio in the human's hands and sighs, putting 2+2 together and understanding what's wrong.
aventurine is curious, but he's also scared. upon explanations, aventurine learns ratio is an angel whose whole purpose is to protect him.
aventurine realizes he has a handsome man glowing with a golden aura around, besides him. he has beautiful wings and he's looking at aventurine as if he has known him for all his life.
when he speaks to the being, ratio frowns, as he's not supposed to be seen.
