I think so, they have created a distrust of educational institutions.
In doing so they also try to tear down those who went to college and became experts. Creating an animosity between college educated people and those who are not.
It's been going on for a little while.
That is true, but there is now an active effort on the right to disparage education and experts as a whole. That anyone who pursues higher education is an active enemy to them.
One thing that I think needs to be studied is the rise of Anti-intellectual sentiment among the right-wing it's really something to watch.
