The kits can have great results, especially on cars infrequently used as they need topping up now and then. I had a professional job done on a bolster once, it wasn’t with it, lasted a bit longer than DIY but not permanent

We live above a flood plain and often gain a sporadic mile long loch. - and wait for the roads to reopen as the flood defences cut across the road in and out at 90 degrees to drain the loch back into the River Kelvin
