You average normie Democrat in 2026 loves AOC, wants to abolish ICE, and thinks Israel shouldn’t get another penny from us.
It’s laughable how out of touch centrist consultants and politicians are.

I am working to purge the dishonest and destructive mythologies of Monetarism and taxpayerism from people's brains. You can read my essays on those subjects here: https://jamesarobichaux.substack.com/

They had names. They had beautiful faces. And they had the same dreams as your kids - crushed when American "precision" bombs slammed into their Minab elementary school, killing 175
Don't blame AI for this. Blame the sick humans who see war as a game

This is true, but it’s also been the case the his lack of fitness for the job has been clear since he rode down the golden elevator, announcing his candidacy amidst a flurry of anti-Mexican racism. The idea that Republicans are going to turn at this point is silly. He’s their man.
Trump did not announce a U.S. policy then walk it back. That is not what happened, and media presenting it that way does a disservice.
Trump said words he thought might appeal to his audience in the moment, with no connection to actual policy, then did that again with a different question/asker.
I know that most newspaper readers in October 2016 would have found the headline "Trump Plotting to Try to Steal the 2016 Election if Clinton Wins" a bit much...some would have said that was typical "liberal media bias." But, ahem, in hindsight it would have been a 100% true headline.
New York Times now confirming @bellingcat.com's investigation that the US struck Iranian school, killing 175 civilians, mostly kids
It's not "obsessed" like it's a weird affectations of his, it's a power play. He's doing it to control them. Make them feel too small to buy their own clothes. Make them subservient to him over "The Office."
Does that work? They're literally saying they're scared to not wear them, so you tell me.
please enjoy the actual photo of Marco with shoes that are too big for his feet
we are weeks away from 'Trump attempts to make horse a Senator' and the only thing stopping him is that he is too much of a sociopath to form an attachment to animals
I guess that expressing something like this is useful as fact checking, but it leaves unchallenged the premise that sovereign government debt is bad, and that itself is harmful to the cause of adequately forestalling and combating climate change.
That's why I'm so against ChatGPT. I'm against letting a machine do your homework for you. I think you should cling to Doing Your Homework Yourself like it's the last opportunity you have to liberate yourself from mental enslavement. Because it basically is.
Anyway shout out to Kai Cenat.
If an official commits an impeachable offense and nobody acts to impeach, it is no longer an impeachable offense.
People who oppose impeachment as “pointless” because it seems unlikely to result in removal do not understand this very simple point and seem unwilling to even try to understand it.
They didn't want to air Sesame Street in Mississippi because it was integrated.
Chart showing oil futures prices
⚠️ Oil futures are just above $100/barrel as the NYSE prepares to open.
Futures came down from overnight highs close to $120/barrel.
One of the things we’re experiencing right now that makes all this worse is narrative rupture. The stories most of us have told ourselves abt this country are (& have been) plainly wrong. In the absence of new stories that reflect actual reality, what we get is stasis.
And that even includes GW Bush, with his grand tragic delusions about Iraq: they knew fixing it would be hard and had a plan to do so. An awful and delusional plan, but at least they recognized that simply destroying things was not a plan.
Good morning.
We can’t fight fascism if our central belief is
“Everyone else is dumb. “
Like that doesn’t work

I wonder what percentage of Americans knows that the CIA helped overthrow a democracy in Iran in 1953, installing a brutal dictator who tortured and murdered people. Republicans keep citing the 1979 Islamic Revolution as if that was the start of U.S.-Iran hostilities. Go back 26 years earlier.
That is why I am always so sick of universal healthcare "advocates" who seem unwilling to imagine any reason other than a tax increase or owning stock in an insurance company that anyone opposes universal healthcare.
The entirety of the upper class benefits from the absence of universal healthcare.
Every time a woman runs for president I hear that she’s too emotional and unstable to make wartime decisions, unlike the men in charge who make really reasonable decisions like bombing kids to death, starting water wars, and poisoning the entire planet
I have for years been known for critiquing the common liberal habit of hypocrisy dunking, but, for reasons that I cannot yet explain, I think that doing so here is appropriate!
Montana Republican Tim Sheehy voted to scrap solar tax credits after installing panels and battery storage at his Bozeman home.
I haven't fully formed any thoughts on the argument made in this oped piece.
So, I will just say that I think that I understand why some progressive voters find Talarico's religious shtick a bit suspect, but it also strikes me as both sincere and not dangerous.

This notes the enthusiasm among US right wing Christian nationalists, inc. the church group prize moron Pete Hegseth attends, for 'household voting' - i.e. only the patriarch votes.
Meanwhile, in the UK the far right are busy screaming about what they call 'family voting' in minority communities...
If this situation doesn't get resolved very soon, we're looking at *at least* $150/barrel crude oil by the summer.
😐
Good thing everything in this country is entirely reliant on oil. Too bad nobody tried to change that at any point
Hey, remember how I said that my third friend in the oil industry didn’t respond? Yeah they got back to me.
It’s not looking good, team
meme of ron paul gesticulating with a nuclear explosion superimposed on him and the text "WIDESPREAD DEATH AND SUFFERING" across it
temperature check: i asked a friend of mine in the oil industry what she (GASP A GIRL? IN OIL??) thinks the market is gonna look like by the end of the month and she just sent me this in response with no other text. [I have no idea if she is serious]
