Vaccines protect you from infection, and/or protect you from getting the worst complications of the disease.
In addition, by being vaccinated, you are protecting all of those around you, including the young, the old and the immunocompromised.
Worth remembering that the "rare reactions" are almost always to the antigen, and so although they are unfortunate, they would still happen if you got infected with that pathogen. Which you will do if you don't get vaccinated.
Oh, and the valency of a vaccine has no impact on safety. So there is that.
