I think the last election proves the answer to the first set of questions. The majority of people would prefer a disgusting example of a human being, as long as he's white.

Just a quick reminder that nobody with any significant wealth invested in the stock market has lost anything in the downswing. They have people to short everything as the market collapses and takes retirement accounts with it. The only people this is hurting is the average person.

It's not that they're confusing the two, it's that they don't care. All they care about is that white men don't have all the jobs they want. It's not complicated.

You basically have three camps of people regarding "MVP": (1) The Riesists, who insist his definition from a dozen years ago is the only one; (2) the Modernists, who accept that language changes over time; and (3) the Denialists, who want it to go away entirely.

All too often, this kind of "instinctual strategy" (1) is never actually documented, so it cannot be effectively communicated, and (2) changes far too often as those holding it are reactive to market changes, rather than responsive to them.
