I guess I'm trying to say that within the constraints Starmer sets himself in that quote, it's unrealistic of us to expect a response comparable to Kamala's (& she's similarly not constrained by thoughts of "what might my response mean for Ukraine?")

This reads as very much directed at a domestic US audience though where Harris (Dems) is openly competing with Trump (GOP/MAGA)
