I have said “I hate what’s happening to this country”.
At an open mic tonight, a male comic spent 4 1/2 of his 5 minutes trying to bully a woman into moving from the front row for *checks notes* laughing too loud.
It was uncomfortable and I feel horrible for not standing up for her. She stood her ground (sat her seat?) and he just left the stage.
Beginning to actually notice the physical manifestations of my anxiety means that I am healing but my anxiety is still here.
I don't miss being numb but I do wish I wasn't so aware of my body.
What is the one movie you’d immediately tell me to watch if I hadn’t seen it?

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.

I had a coworker so obsessed with my fertility issues you’d think she was trying to impregnate me. She reported me to HR for skipping a baby shower (I’d had a miscarriage), and HR sided with her. I was forced to attend the next office shower and cried the whole time. Corporate America is a disease.
