Transcription of reddit comment: The way I see it, the main thing the devs did wrong was letting the, previously relatively positive, community degrade into such toxicity trough bad game designs (Such as the toxicity inducing limited reinforcements of the Cyberstan campaign.) and horrendous/toxic community managing (The community managers literally throw fuel onto arguments by saying/hinting things like players just having "skill issues".) And we shouldn't let AH off the hook until they at least make the bare minimum improvements to how they handle the community. An example could be actually genuinely responding to some of the constructive criticism instead of just ignoring/mocking it, so the community knows we're heard and taken seriously.

On the list of dumb takes I have seen...

A player being sent death threats and harassed into unemployment over #Helldivers2 is somehow the developer's fault because "update bad and of course that provokes death threats" is one of the most shit-ass takes I have ever seen.
