Progressive and woke aren't the same thing. My substack article outlined in detail how Star Trek specifically and science fiction in general comments on politics, social movements, and so on. By the way, the original definition of "woke" isn't a pejorative and has been around for a while.

Kurtzman accused it of not being Star Trek.

Beats me. He should be since he's the single character most associated with Star Trek.

I don't keep up on these things.

I posted one article. How is that "continuing to criticize?" I really didn't expect this to get so much traction.

I watched the first episode which was free on SFA. I don't subscribe to streaming services so I don't have the ability to assess any of the others. That said, if I choose not to watch a show, why should anyone else care. I'm perfectly fine with you watching and liking it. Why isn't that good enough?
